i stepped out just over a year after i stepped in
the news is that,
I have launched a resignation letter to rmit wtf tkd club, both as president and member just about a week ago.
why? for all the wrong reasons, false accusations and blank assumptions. simple enough.
but sometimes solutions arent so simple, sometimes leaving it behind is the only way.
uni is number one to me, education is my most important priority, what have i sacrificed for them?
i broke up with a girlfriend just to concentrate on VCE, i ditched outings with friends to concentrate on school work and now, maybe i've made a similar decision.
have i quit tkd? probably not. might join beetles' club at dandy, which isnt as far or same distance to city except in opposite way.
its rare to see me angry, the last 'angry' moment is when i asked my friends to be my interview victims.
is it the same as this one? maybe i've gone beyond it. I am pissed in so many ways.
as i said, false accusations, especially when they're distributed to a number of people.
as much as i want to counter them, bridges are burnt, at the end of the day, we all know whats true and whats not. If i have the chance to clear up my name, i will take it and i'd make sure, it'll be a massive scene, until that day comes, i'll be perfecting all my arguments.
one thing i've learnt while doing research about Greenpeace is their act of bearing witness.
it links moral sensitivities with responsibilities, having observed a morally objectionable act, one cannot turn away in avoidance. one must either take action to prevent further injustice or stand by an attest its occurence.
i hope people would speak up more. i didnt speak up and i got put down defenselessly, if you dont speak up, your voice cant be heard, compassionate is a very high value about a person.

passionate people, where are they?
"...as i listened to a climate scientist professor speak to less than half full auditorium at the State library, i gazed around and scanned the room in which, i saw wide eyes and bleakly, empty seats.
at the end, i left with shocked and one thing in my mind, a moral of the whole speak, a surreal message:
"the immediate future of our civilisation is threatened"
the earth, and everything on it will definitely change, by how much?
or but by how little? that would be determined with what we do now...
as i learn about the environment on a day to day basis in a classroom, at the end, on the street each of my newly gained knowledge felt radical and subversive
to the point where if i want to share it, it'd be confronting?
we see climate actions groups everywhere, on tv, newspaper everyday seemingly increasing.
but what has shrunk is the alarm and the understanding of climate change."

"...people do not damage the ecosystem as a matter of course. Rather, they operate in an ideational context that motivates them to do so. People are not machines; they do not respond directly to situations. In the words of Harry Eckstein, people are moved by 'predispositions which pattern behavior.' In the language of social scienc, human behaviour is a matter of 'oriented action.' People process experience into action through general conceptions or interpretationsof the world. At the most general level, but also the most important, then, an important step toward protecting the earth is to change the way vast numbers of people understand the world. Even if it means to involving them to be persuaded to abandon their anti-ecological or non-ecological attitudes and practices, and to be concerned about the environmental well-being of the planet. In sher, it requires disseminating an ecological sensibility."
