Back to beginning?

I accept that uni has pretty much a part of my life and I have let go of high school settings. Eventhough I'd love to keep it, I know I'd miss it and it's not like it never happen before, it did when I left all my friends in Indonesia and 7 years from now I would feel exactly the same if not worse than I feel right now when I remember my 'home'. Seeing my friends going on different paths of their own desire, it has to happen no matter what.

High school pretty much kept me away from my Indonesian nature, now I pretty starting to regain it as I've made more Indonesian and Asian friends. One example on saturday I was walking in the city by myself after I bought a pair of new headphones. As I walked infront of an Indonesian Restaurant, I had my arm pulled and when I looked it was the guy from the Indonesian students community at RMIT (that I'm a member of) trying to promote Kafe Art. So I pretty much got kidnapped and do all this vandalising of sticking up posters and asking Indonesian looking people if they were Indonesians. The point is I communicated well (eventhough I did crap in vce 1st language), there were 10-12 of us going around, a few have the posters stuck on them and I just felt I'm a part of a minority group...not as a minority individual and I wasn't ashamed that we're Indonesians. I have respect for this bunch of students, and I would love to be involve more in the near future, it makes me remember all what to be an Indonesian and as I said, regain my lost nature of origin.

Taekwondo, taekwondo, taekwondo, it just has to be talked about, again, another group I felt i can be belonged to. We did an Open Day demo at RMIT yesterday and man, it was a clear contrast to ITF Taekwondo (our club is WTF - not what the fuck but world tkd federation) whereas ITF demo was formal, organised and had everything, ours was disorganised, fun and we pretty much were mucking around. 1, because we only had one belt (and she didn't even bring her uniform, only 4 of us did out of 8) we were gonna do breakings but the store closed on sundays, and our master is overseas! But man we didn't even care, we were pretty much mucking around and hey all our fliers were finished at the end of the day! It was raining it was slippery, we did so well! I felt like I've known this guys for years eventhough I only joined the club last semester, I've never met such a close community, when I did my knee, after I did my knee, every training, sense of helping and supporting are always there.

Uni started off better than last time I guess, the people I have in all my classes are fun to work with, group work, I love group work, other people's brain are so various and random! Maybe because we're doing the same course, we just connect and snap easily with each other. Although essays and assignments are starting to pile up already...

Writing this, it's not like I've moved on from my high school friends and forgot about them lately, it's true there are new friends but I'm sure they also have new friends. I've missed my friends birthdays, musical, and get together, (just remember I will always with you...spiritually). Although you might get the impression that I'm snobby but it just that circumstances don't allow me physically, I dont live in Elwood anymore, I dont drive, and I have uni commitment (i have morning classes ungh, and now fridays too) I dont have concession card and I dont like drinking during uni semester. I believe there are other things we could do socially during the day or during breaks. There are also other people that I havent seen since summer holidays. I've missed them but it won't be as practical as it was before.

I'm a way busy man, I recently appointed as secretary because Will's gone back to Indo and I'm in charge of Uni games and uniforms and organising social events...

Speaking of going back to Indo, this year we might...MIGHT go back for a holiday, or who knows, we might go back for good? I'm kinda nervous thinking about that...like starting at a new Uni again, back to the hole where I was born, seeing my family again and my school friends...down down the memory lane...I wonder...

fari has a new (same) old plan

well, life is like a roller coaster, actually i'd prefer electromagnetic wavelength, whereas shorter wavelengths have higher energy content than longer wavelengths. Think about it.

the insurance i applied through the recomendation of master quang have pretty much cover nearly most of the financial toll i experienced from a knee cap wandering of its original place. it covers 80% of ambulance fee, 80% physio, crutch hire and hey a personal well benefit thingy, like $10 or so.

moving on...holidays feel long gone now, although its only been first week back to uni. I have pretty much alright timetable, mostly starts at 10.30. I couldnt get the tute on the wednesday 1.30-3.30, there was an option of 3.30 - 5.30 but screw that, 2 hours of nothing ness? so i moved it to thursday, i got training on the night anyway.

So i only have tuesdays off now, man i loved getting fridays off. But what the heck, the friday subject is uber weird, the whole topic is i like, pretty much away from philosophies crap. but its so weird that it doesnt have tutor session. only pracs like twice in one semester, mostly its lecture then assessments through the weblearn, i still dont get it.

tkd tkd tkd. hmmm recently i was appointed the new secretary of the club. Bizzare i reckon, although the previous secretary was also an Indo, black belt, senior member. I think i might've missed a meeting about the whole election. Well it was pretty much:
'we need a new secretary, because will is going back to indo for good...........um (looks around the room).....you (points at me), who vote for Fari, hands up? (4/6, i didnt put my hand up neither did the white belt newbie who just joined and seemed to didnt give a crap)
'....ungh, what did i do...?'
'yeah, last class will said you volunteer...'
'um, ah well, what does a secretary do anyway?'

now i've got the job as the contact person between our club and rmit sports and rec center regarding the AUG during quang's overseas absence. While the president just got back from holidays and i only seen the VP like twice in the last month.

speaking of AUG, i'm getting my sparring aspiration back, slowly, but i know its developing, although, i can see myself still hesitate during practice. Still, i have to make a decision whether to compete at the AUG or wait next year, with the downside of travel fees for a one day event, deadline = 15th august.

speaking of tkd, i might have developed some kind of interest in a girl...although i'm not sure whether she's just overly friendly or she has the same kind of affection. Girls are confusing these days...

AAANNYYWAAAY....the 2 years drought should soon be gone, i hope.

oh on wednesday we'll be having TKD demonstration for the Mid year orientation and i cant wait to show off..ahaha, then we'll have OPEN DAY on august 10th and yep, i cant wait to show off infront of high school girls ahahahahahhah!!

Frank is my pupil by the way, i teach him stuff now that he joined our club, he just earned his yellow. I'm proud...sort of, well i am giving myself some credit.

I'm hungry.

withdrawal symptoms

ok, its good that master quang allows us to have exam breaks, so no training since thursday and all of next week. When my knee was 'mangled' as hana would called it, i missed quite a bit and it was kinda driving me nuts, couldn't jump, run, skip, even walk properly. Now that i'm all effing good (yeah carnt, cant keep a good man down, biggest come back after lazarus!)

But right now i've been doing my assignments that are suppose to due by 20th, and it's kinda, gotten abit violent. For my world population essay, i hardly found good 'academic writings' research and evidence and i got the urges to punch and spin hook kick someone in the head. At home and when I go out of the house I started to get paranoia, or rather, imagining what if someone start a fight etc. The worse is if i get called to RMIT to take care of my fee etc as the hub is as dumb as jessica simpson on marijuana, i imagined elbowing them and spinal kicking them in the face, kinda scary...
