love and affection

so love is pretty much around me this past week,
one: Dave lost his match because he kept on thinking about his ex gf which he hooked up with at his party, went out a week then broke up next weekend aka 2 days before aug, so all the training he had..gone. Well he had only one match so guarantee silver anyway, but he's been talking up gold medals. one other factor is he has done training with melb uni before (to fight better fighter) so they may have learned his moves. So is now a lonely fighter and buckling up in TKD (before he was all emotional)

Two: Yesterday yesterday, I found out Toro and kaori broke up, he told me the story but i found quite peculiar...it was more like sudden mood change. I thought they were so smooth together and i hardly hear any fight between the two...i feel kinda sad.

Three: Devon and Tom broke up, another shock, i thought the same with these two, especially devon whom i thought had found someone right, or at least worth more than a year of committed relationship. This kinda digs out what I've buried.

I feel she must've been so devastated, because waiting on love isnt quite easy to do, i thought she's been happy and all but then this happens to her...again. It makes me feel guilty, as i thought, looking back few years ago, to what i've done to her didnt quite go to a plan i was expecting. Now she is lost again, as in her 2nd, 3rd and 4th relationship attempt didnt work out.

So i've been feeling depressed about this and that, ironically, i've been on my single way for more than two years now, how do you think i'd feel?

I guess i'd be down lonely fighter path now, i sort of enviour of all the glory our fighters had at the AUG, and hopefully my thirst for win will get severe enough for me so i can get motivated. I'll definitely train harder for next tourni....watch me.

ps. Dave's quote after the party: "you guys are the best thing that came to our club..."

AUG 2008

So on the 29th of september we went to Vic uni footscray...

we, dressed on fully rmit code: RMIT hoodie and shirt (some socks too)...were ready to tackle other unis across australia in TKD. But melb uni is our rival...and the one to beat.

So I didnt compete because of the injuries i sustained in the past weeks, so me and matt (president) pretty much helped around looking after our fighters and organise people and ushering around, because quang will be busy coaching on the sideline, we were responsible for those tasks (and some figthing tips for the noobies) Overall we did quite well, in fact, the junior members were the victorious ones, in yellow bantam weight (62kg max - my division) we got gold! and in heavy weight (heaviest of them all) yellow we swoop 2 bronze and a gold - tall skid mark, in welter (74kg) a silver (which was won by Chris - good guy funny man) and a few more bronze. Two uncontested gold in red belt division and one silver earned by Dave, and one gold in blue belt:
Ok this blue belt, shin, a girl, was fighting a red belt because there was no one else in their division, only one fight though, shin convincingly won the fight...1-0 aka now she is 2 times uni champ, earning her the title 'Pro' and right leg of death (she only used right throughout her fight) Now the other guys have been teasing her as the champion...2x, PRO! the best fighter..etc. The black belt divison we didnt get any gold, but lots of silver-3 and bronze-4, but one honourable mention goes to steve, he fought with one arm (he had broken arm from bike accident) and the best moment of the day goes to him...He dislocated Melb uni president's Jaw...! aka Technical KO! Which earned him a prestigious Green and Gold medal...!he is our idol now...!we got it on video! the best wooo!

so overall we are ranked 2nd overall all AUSTRALIA with melb uni coming in first why? because they had the most fighters with 33, and we came 2nd because we had 22, we felt that Melb uni were cocky and snobby after their win. and some fights i felt were rigged, like one melb uni guy kept grabbing rmit fighter crotch...wtf, we got it on camera, so watch out!

Next year we have a mission, follow steve's path and make melb uni cry...
btw we produced the biggest team and earned the most medals in RMIT sporting with 19 medals out of 22 fighthers.

I didnt quite enjoy the day though, as i was sick from food poisoning, i went to the toilet once, locked myself in and tried to vomit, didnt work, second time, neither. third time i put a finger down the throat and oweeeekkk...and i was pale until we went to dinner afterward, which when i got home i puked out. feel better now thanx.

What has happened?

Dave's party
we got Dave a present where everyone chipped in to get him a GM adidas dobok complete with the trademark three stripes, and a personalised black belt (as you gotta put your name on the belt anyway when you turn black...) So a few of us who organised this: Matt prez, frana and hank (hana and frank) shin, felicia, duy, andrew, eric, chen, william (non tkd) and fari walked from matt's place to icon bar at flinders lane, funny when we were walking we looked like we're going to funeral because most of us wore black and was carrying a box with roses on it. We got there and revealed our present to Dave, his reaction:
WTF...!?!?! WHATS THIS??!?!?!? NO WAY.......TAKE IT BACK OH MY GOD YOU GUYS SERIOUS!!!!! THANX YOU GUYS (then he went all emotional)
i feel it's motivating for him though, although it may sounded ambitious when he said he wants to go on to olympic 2012 in London representing Aus in TKD...Prior to the party he's been saying that he may quit the club to get scouted, so we have faith in him.

Then as it always happen, our tkd group just sit back and chill at one area and everytime he walked pass he'd died on us and lay down. Then he got up and say: "I just want you guys to know...i fucking love you guys so much...and you touched my heart..."

i lost after that night, maybe thats why i hate clubs and bars, i want to talk to people but the music is tooloud...me and matt were going to drink our sorrow after what happened in the past couple of weeks, about junior members, senior and respect and appreciation...bleh. but anyway we ended up dancing and boogie ing.
we left icon bar at 3am, drunk...(what? they were free...Dave put tabs...good host does that) so we went back to melb central direction and frank bought us burgers from hungry jacks...and we went to the jail and eat. And i stayed over at Matt;s 20th floor apartment. Hard party a week before AUG...nice...

Back to beginning?

I accept that uni has pretty much a part of my life and I have let go of high school settings. Eventhough I'd love to keep it, I know I'd miss it and it's not like it never happen before, it did when I left all my friends in Indonesia and 7 years from now I would feel exactly the same if not worse than I feel right now when I remember my 'home'. Seeing my friends going on different paths of their own desire, it has to happen no matter what.

High school pretty much kept me away from my Indonesian nature, now I pretty starting to regain it as I've made more Indonesian and Asian friends. One example on saturday I was walking in the city by myself after I bought a pair of new headphones. As I walked infront of an Indonesian Restaurant, I had my arm pulled and when I looked it was the guy from the Indonesian students community at RMIT (that I'm a member of) trying to promote Kafe Art. So I pretty much got kidnapped and do all this vandalising of sticking up posters and asking Indonesian looking people if they were Indonesians. The point is I communicated well (eventhough I did crap in vce 1st language), there were 10-12 of us going around, a few have the posters stuck on them and I just felt I'm a part of a minority group...not as a minority individual and I wasn't ashamed that we're Indonesians. I have respect for this bunch of students, and I would love to be involve more in the near future, it makes me remember all what to be an Indonesian and as I said, regain my lost nature of origin.

Taekwondo, taekwondo, taekwondo, it just has to be talked about, again, another group I felt i can be belonged to. We did an Open Day demo at RMIT yesterday and man, it was a clear contrast to ITF Taekwondo (our club is WTF - not what the fuck but world tkd federation) whereas ITF demo was formal, organised and had everything, ours was disorganised, fun and we pretty much were mucking around. 1, because we only had one belt (and she didn't even bring her uniform, only 4 of us did out of 8) we were gonna do breakings but the store closed on sundays, and our master is overseas! But man we didn't even care, we were pretty much mucking around and hey all our fliers were finished at the end of the day! It was raining it was slippery, we did so well! I felt like I've known this guys for years eventhough I only joined the club last semester, I've never met such a close community, when I did my knee, after I did my knee, every training, sense of helping and supporting are always there.

Uni started off better than last time I guess, the people I have in all my classes are fun to work with, group work, I love group work, other people's brain are so various and random! Maybe because we're doing the same course, we just connect and snap easily with each other. Although essays and assignments are starting to pile up already...

Writing this, it's not like I've moved on from my high school friends and forgot about them lately, it's true there are new friends but I'm sure they also have new friends. I've missed my friends birthdays, musical, and get together, (just remember I will always with you...spiritually). Although you might get the impression that I'm snobby but it just that circumstances don't allow me physically, I dont live in Elwood anymore, I dont drive, and I have uni commitment (i have morning classes ungh, and now fridays too) I dont have concession card and I dont like drinking during uni semester. I believe there are other things we could do socially during the day or during breaks. There are also other people that I havent seen since summer holidays. I've missed them but it won't be as practical as it was before.

I'm a way busy man, I recently appointed as secretary because Will's gone back to Indo and I'm in charge of Uni games and uniforms and organising social events...

Speaking of going back to Indo, this year we might...MIGHT go back for a holiday, or who knows, we might go back for good? I'm kinda nervous thinking about that...like starting at a new Uni again, back to the hole where I was born, seeing my family again and my school friends...down down the memory lane...I wonder...
